Cycling Ireland's road commission has received a high level of interest from riders who wish to be considered for places on the upcoming pre-season training camp. All riders who expressed an interest in attending have now been contacted directly.

Cycling Ireland Road Commission are pleased to announce a pre-season training camp in February 2020. The camp is designed to give riders a chance to prepare for the 2020 road season and also develop road racing specific skills. The road commissions goals are to accelerate the development of each rider by allowing them to build fitness, gain experience and develop skills necessary for international level racing in 2020. Riders will have the opportunity to focus on training, recovery and learning in an environment custom developed to promote as much development as possible over the course of the week.

The camp is open to all domestic based u23 male riders 18 years or older, and all female 18 years or older. All riders should have a high level of fitness and should be ready to compete in top level in Ireland with aspirations of racing internationally.

Cycling Ireland Road Commission are subsidising the majority of the costs of the camp. However, a rider contribution will be required to attend, the exact amount of which is to be confirmed. This combined contribution will cover all aspects of the camp including travel, accommodation, food and support vehicle.
