As I was one of the youngest in the race and it was my first Rás, I didn't know what to expect going into the week. However I enjoyed every second of it.  The World Road Race Champiomships was an amazing trip and I was very proud to wear the Irish jersey. I am thankful for all the support I have received from everyone throughout the year and looking forward to the year ahead".

The winner of the Male Rider of the Month for September is Ben Healy (Zappi Racing Team).

Ben has won the award for his performance at the Junior Road World Championships during September. He put in an excellent performance in the TT where he finished 13th overall. He also performed strongly in the road race where he finished as the leading Irish finisher in 25th place on a tough course. Ben has had a successful season overall, becoming national TT champion back in June and also finishing second in the road race at the national championships.

"I've had a great season this year, after being given the opportunity to race representing Ireland the support from everybody has been amazing" he said

"The highlights of my season were winning the Irish National Champs TT and then to be given the chance to compete in the World Championships. Racing in the national jersey in Innsbruck was a fantastic experience.
