Cycling Ireland are delighted to announce that junior rider, Archie Ryan, has been added to the Irish Team that will compete at the World Cyclocross Championships on the 3rd and 4th February. Ryan will join Thomas Creighton and Adam McGarr in the junior event at the Worlds in Valekenburg, the Netherlands.
Ryan has competed in two UCI C1 events this season, and finished on the same lap as the winner on each occasion, fulfilling five out of the six desired criteria.
Following the selection Cycling Ireland Cyclocross selector Andy Layhe “Archie has proven without doubt his eligibility to compete at the worlds. It was an oversight omitting him from the original team, and changes will be made with regard to how results are submitted to the commission in forthcoming seasons.”
