Eoin Corrigan Wins UK Winter Series

National BMX Team member Eoin Corrigan put in a fantastic ride at the final round of the UK Winter Indoor Series to take the top honours with a first place overall. Held at the world-class indoor BMX track in the National Cycling Centre at Manchester, the event was a four race series, cumulating on Sunday 14th February. Eoin went into the final round leading the 17-29 year old age group. However, the title was by no means a foregone conclusion. Eoin had to beat other riders close to him on points, which he duly did by taking 2nd place on the day to former British Elite rider Grant Hill.

The Cycling Ireland BMX Commission has been running a Development Programme from which Eoin has graduated into the National BMX Team. Under the direction of Olympic BMX coach Jeremy Hayes, Eoins' next target is the British BMX Series and our own National BMX Series.
