At the 2017 Cycling Ireland AGM the appointment of Brendan Tallon to the Board of Directors was announced.


Brendan is a native of, and lives in County Kildare where he is a founding partner in a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants and Business Advisors. Brendan, a qualified accountant, is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants and holds an MBA with distinction from Oxford Brookes University. He is a panel member of the Business Leaders’ Forum of the ACCA and chairman of a nursing home operator in the Leinster region.


A keen leisure cyclist, Brendan is a founder and volunteer organiser of the Leinster Loop, Ireland’s premier charity cycle sportive and a multi nominated Cycling Ireland best leisure event.


Speaking about the appointment of Brendan Tallon to the Board, Cycling Ireland President Ciaran McKenna said – We are delighted to welcome Brendan to the board of Cycling Ireland, and we look forward to working with him. Brendan has a wealth of experience in cycling, and in particular in the leisure cycling realm, and brings with him expertise in both business and sport administration.”
