Revision to the order of precedence of the classification jerseys

Please note a revision has been made to the order of precedence of the classification jerseys to bring the race into line with standard practice in stage racing.  The new order of precedence is:  Individual GC, Points, Mountains, Individual U23 and Individual S2.

Introduction of a time limit

A time limit will be introduced at Kerry Group Rás Mumhan for the 2015 race.  The value of the time limits is as follows:

Stage 1:  Riders arriving at the finish with a stage time of more than 20% greater than the race winner’s time will be declared non-finishers

Stage 2: Riders arriving at the finish with a stage time of more than 25% greater than the race winner’s time will be declared non-finishers

Stage 3: Riders arriving at the finish with a stage time of more than 25% greater than the race winner’s time will be declared non-finishers

Stage 4:  Riders arriving at the filling station before Killorglin Bridge at the end of the 3 long laps who are more than 5 minutes behind the race leaders will be withdrawn from the race here.   All riders withdrawn here will be credited as having finished the race and will credited with a stage time that reflects their arrival time here.

The stage 4 time limit has been introduced to comply with Garda proposals on the stage management.  It is vital to the future of this stage that riders and teams cooperate with race officials and stewards here.
