Ryan Finishes Points Race in Sixth Place at the Track Cycling World Championships

Ryan Rounds off Successful World Championships for Ireland with 6th in Points Race

Caroline Ryan raced well in the Women’s Points Race at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Cali, Colombia, finishing in 6th place. Ryan rode a controlled first half, before making the main move of the day, taking a lap with six other riders. Australian Amy Cure won the gold medal, with Stephanie Pohl (GER) taking silver, ahead of Jasmin Glaesser (CAN) in Bronze.

 

This performance rounds up a successful World Championships bid for the Irish, with Martyn Irvine winning Silver in the Scratch Race and Ryan Mullen narrowly missing out on Bronze in the Individual Pursuit.


The UCI Track Cycling World Championships take place in Cali, Colombia, from the 26th February to the 2nd March 2014.
