Tempted to come along on the night? We have an action packed night and are particularly excited about the following highlights:

· The Irish Paracycling Team – we will be honouring the Irish Team who enjoyed tremendous success at the Paralympic Games, with highlights including the five medals won by the team! Join us on the night in congratulating the team and remembering their success.

· Cycling Advocacy – This year we merged with Cyclist.ie, a group who lobby for better cycling conditions in Ireland. We have the honour of welcoming the President of the European Cycling Federation, Bernhard Ensinck, to the Awards Night, and he will be giving us a little insight to what makes a city a cycling friendly city!

· Tribute to Richie Byrne – The recent passing of Richie Byrne rocked the whole cycling community, in particular those of us involved in mountain biking. Considered by thousands as the godfather of mountain biking in Ireland, Richie inspired and mentored most mountain bikers who have been involved in the sport – from the kids in his Little Giant’s programme to the best competitive bikers out there.

· Road Racing - One of Ireland’s brightest talents, Eddie Dunbar, will be attending talking his fantastic season, including his phenomenal performance in the U23 Time Trial at the World Championships last month in Doha. We will also be talking to some of the stars of the recently launched Aqua Blue Team including Conor Dunne and Martyn Irvine.

· Meet Anna Turvey and Robin Seymour – Anna is Ireland’s most recent Elite European Medallist! Last month Anna Turvey sensationally won bronze at the European Track Championships racing in the Individual Pursuit. She will be present on the night to talk about her fantastic performance. Robin needs no introduction, the multiple Olympian romped home first to win the Masters Cross Country title in Val di Sol in August.

· We will be inducting THREE NEW PEOPLE to the Hall of Fame – and are looking forward to making these announcements on the night, along with recognising the achievements across the 100 National Championship events run across our disciplines each year.
