Congratulations to Ireland's newest World Champion, Orla Hendron, who was dominant in seizing the title in the F50/54 2000m Individual Pursuit at the World Masters Track Cycling Championships in Manchester yesterday. This is the second World Title won by the Orwell Wheelers rider, who won gold in the F45/49 Points Race in 2010.

This is a particularly impressive achievement considering Orla is also the Women's Junior coach, the Cycling Ireland National Child Protection Officer, an active long-standing member and driving force in the Women's Commission of Cycling Ireland, and a former Director on the Board of Cycling Ireland, along with running her own business.

Congratulations Orla, and best of luck to the rest of the team competing this week.
