Cycling Ireland launched a new partnership with Bikmo today, with an insurance offering for their members covering their bikes and kit from theft and accidental damage.


Cycling Ireland members already benefit from the personal insurance included in the membership including public liability and personal accident. From today, members now have the option to take out cover for their bikes and kit.


Award winning cycle insurer Bikmo, underwritten by UK General, protects bikes and kit against theft or accidental damage. They also include extra benefits as standard such as event cover, zero depreciation of bikes and worldwide protection.





The announcement comes after figures released by the gardaí reported a 15% rise in cycle theft in Dublin with an average of 12 bikes stolen every day and less than one in ten being recovered.
