From Cycling Leinster Youth and Juniors

We are holding the first of the Cycling Leinster Training days for the 2016/17 season on Sunday the 6th November in Bray. The Session will start at 10 am at the Bray Wheelers clubhouse, which is just off the Boghall Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow. This training day will be focused on what is proper winter and pre-season training. This is in response to numerous requests for guidance in this regard. This training day is open to all from Juniors through to Under 12's and should be particularly helpful to those moving up an age category. The training day will start with a talk on winter and pre-season training by Aidan Ryan of Sorrento CC, who is a very highly regarded and experienced coach. This will be followed by a road spin, which will be broken down into age categories etc.

We will also be welcoming to our training day Cycling Ireland's new Safeguarding officer, Brigid O'Dea. Brigid will be giving a short presentation on her role as Safeguarding officer.

If you are interested in attending, please let either of the under-signed know either by email or text as soon as possible and at the latest by Monday, October the 31st as we need to know numbers.

As always, we are looking for leaders to accompany the cyclists and if you are interested in doing this please contact either of the under-signed.

We hope to hold at least five training days from now onwards into mid-2017, covering road racing, track racing and mountain-biking, etc.
