Irish riders carry haul of silverware away from Junior Nations Cup in Hungary.

A  very impressive two days for the Irish team, and Seth Dunwoody, at the Junior Nations Cup in Hungary, saw the Cannibal Victorious rider take second place in the general classification while the team took first overall in the team competition.

Dunwoody claimed second place in a sprint at the end of the first 136.5km stage, coming in behind Héctor Álvarez of Spain.

The second and final day opened with an 86.3km stage. Dunwoody opened the day in third place overall on GC. A fifth place finish on this stage left Dunwoody sitting in fifth place overall going into the 3km individual time trial to end the day.

The best was yet to come from Dunwoody as an immense effort in the time-trial saw him take the stage win, and moved him back up to second overall.

A consistent performance from the entire team across all three stages on both days was unmatched, and they walked away with a very well deserved overall team win, beating a strong Norwegian outfit by 5 seconds.

David Gaffney joined second placed Dunwoody in the top 10. Cal Tutty and Max Fitzgerald came in at 26th and 30th overall, with Joseph Mullen and Conor Murphy rounding out the Irish contingent at 58th and 72nd respectively.

A massive congratulations to all the riders and staff.
