“Overall the performance was good. It was a consistent effort and I was happy with it.”

"The crowds were incredible today. A lot of Irish fans out there and in the middle of Yorkshire where you wouldn't expect them."

“I’m looking forward to the road race on Sunday. We have a really strong team, six really motivated guys and I think we can do something on Sunday and dream about the rainbows (jersey) for someone.”

Eddie and Ryan will be joined by Sam Bennett, Dan Martin, Conor Dunne and Rory Townsend on the Irish Team for the Elite Men’s Road Race. The race will start at 8:40am on Sunday and take riders 285 kilometres from Leeds to Harrogate, finishing with a 7-lap circuit.
