Ireland's Eddie Dunbar stormed to victory last weekend in the U23 Tour of Flanders, securing his biggest win to date. The pocket rocket from Cork was competing on the Cycling Ireland National Team at the Nations Cup event over the 168km course last Saturday, 8th April, when he soloed home having been part of a three man breakaway inside the final 20km.

when Eddie Dunbar pulled away from the Cycling Ireland team car, thanks to David McCann, when it went from "maybe he can hold on" to "they are NOT catching him today".

Next up for the Irish Team in the Nations Cup is the ZLM this weekend and the Coppa Citta'di Offida in Italy on the 1st May.  The results of the Nations Cup events determine the number of riders who will qualify for the U23 World Road Championships at the end of the year.
