Greg Callaghan who won last year will be one of the favourites this year again but the field is strong with many riders capable of winning on a good day. Last years World Series overall winner, American Richie Rude won the opening two rounds this year and is undoubtably the one to watch. Hot on his heels will be 2014 overall winner Jared Graves who missed the Emerald Enduro last year due to injury and has several points to prove. After that there are plenty here who could surprise, young Martin Maes has started the year with two second places and old dog Nico Vouilloz (a legend in the sport of Downhill) has podiumed too.

In the ladies field Tracy Moseley has semi-retired from racing having won all three EWS World Championships so far. This year she is racing only selected races and the Emerald Enduro is one. She will be marked by Cecile Ravanel who won the opening two rounds, Anneke Beerten and Isabel Courdurier. We think have a watch out for young Scot Katy Winton though, this terrain suits her and she has had a great start to the season. on her new team, Trek.

As to the Irish, last year Leah Maunsell was barely old enough to race yet took the victory at under 21. She'll be looking to repeat this year and Killian Callaghan who was third in the hotly contested Under 21 male category is hungry for more success. Last year ended in a fairytale as Greg Callaghan took his maiden win and he is seriously on the hunt for the top step again on home soil.
