Get on your bike, kids – its family fun time!
The ever popular and much awaited 11km Meath Heritage Cycle tour family spin starts at 5pm from Castle Street, Trim on Saturday 28th July. Families can register on the day from 2pm in the marquee on the grounds of Trim Castle. The 11km family spin is a flat route, suitable for all family members – grannies, granddad`s, uncles, aunts, au pairs etc, all very welcome. Following rules will apply – you must register on the day, you must be over 6 yrs of age, you must be able to cycle independently and you must wear a cycle helmet – stabilisers, tricycles, scooters are not permitted. Please note – the family spin is a controlled leisure cycle.
The aim of the family spin is to promote cycling as a fun and enjoyable activity, with safety a key priority. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all stages of the cycle spin. Cost per entrant is €5. Gardai and cycling coaches will provide guidance and instruction along the route. Food stop will be at Jack Quinns, on return to Trim, participants can enjoy taking part in the cycle challenges and obstacle course along with bouncy castles.
