Sunday 19th October the Women's Commission are holding a Training Day in Corkagh Park and the Green Isle Hotel.

 

 

The Goal for the Training Day:

 

To Give the girls the tools to allow them to continue with their bike riding while studying for their leaving Cert and gaining a good Leaving Cert. 

 

The Programme for the day will be

 

Morning Ride with National Champion Fiona Meade and Junior Women's Coach Orla Hendron along with other Coaches from the Women's Commission. 

 

After Lunch in the Green Isle Hotel talks from Paddy Doran & Orla Ni Shuilleabhain.

 

 

Paddy Doran: Paddy is a level 3 Cycling Ireland Coach and a Coaching Ireland Tutor:  Paddy has coached many top riders to reach their full potential.  He has also coached many Junior riders to complete their Leaving Cert Successfully while also maintaining a high level of fitness.  Paddy has written a number of books on Cycling training from Youth, Women and General cycling .  Paddy has worked closely with the Women's Commission for many years and has been a big part of the reason we now have a decent racing scene at the moment.

 

 

Orla Ni Shuilleabhain:  Orla has been teaching at the institute of Education for 27 years.  She is a fully qualified life and business coach, accredited by the European Coaching Institute. In her role as   academic mentor at the institute, Orla has developed  an integrated study skills programme, which assists students to maximize their potential across all subject areas, and helps with time management,problem resolution and organisational capability.  She is also author to the recently published Study Skills and Exam Essentials.
