The Board has become aware that there is an error in the wording of the Technical Regulations Regulation T3 Article 4) point c). relates to veteran riders in their 50th year or later who obtain the required number of points to upgrade.
The regulation as currently worded indicates that a veteran, as described, obtaining the required number of points to upgrade will automatically upgrade..
In fact the regulation should read,
c) Veteran riders in their 50 or greater year and irrespective of their category may apply, on their
first licence application for the relevant licence year, for an A2 or A3 licence with zero points
brought forward. Such riders are exempt from automatic upgrades during the licence year unless requested by the rider on reaching the relevant points threshold
The Board would apologise for any confusion caused by this error.
