Leinster Youth Academy Coaching Day

South East Road Club in conjunction with the Leinster Youth Academy will be holding a coaching day for youth riders from Under 12 to Under 16 on Saturday May 9th in Arklow. The event will take place in the Coral Sports Centre, Seaview Avenue, Ferrybank, Arklow, Co. Wicklow.

 

The itinerary for the day will be as follows:

9:30        Opening of sign-on

10:20     Event will start with some coaching talks

11:20     Road training ride. The distances will be approximately 50kms for under 16’s, 40kms for under 14’s and 20kms for under 12’s.

12:30     Lunch

13:30     Afternoon of bike skill development. This session will finish with an exciting competitive aspect

16:00     Event finish

 

This event is open to youth riders between 10 and 16 years old. Only people with roadworthy road bikes will be able to take part in the training cycle. We encourage all youth riders from Leinster to attend. This event is designed to cater for riders of all abilities so this is a good opportunity for beginners to learn more about the sport. Helmet and cycling mitts or gloves are mandatory for all events.
