Note ! The Board set a Standard Time for the Women’s 4000 mts of 4 mins 40 secs on 28th November 2014.
Technical Regulations.
The updated Technical Regulations were approved by the Board for 2015. These are available to view or download on the Cycling Ireland web site
The main changes are :
The introduction of the veterans category being replaced by masters age banding for Road / Time Trial / Track / Cyclo Cross
.
The National Criterium and National Hill Climb Championships being included in the updated Championship Bundles update.
Relaxation in the rules governing the composition of composite teams in women’s stage races.
Allowing riders to apply for a one category upgrade on their first licence application of the year.
Update on Youth Track Regulations.
Table inserted showing maximum distances / times of races a junior may compete in.
Update of Omnium rules in line with current international practice.
Update of the adjustment factor table for use in Para cycling National T T Championships
Clarification when National Records may be claimed at a track meeting.
Confirmation that all National Panel or Team riders must have completed the UCI anti doping education module “True Champion or Cheat”.
Minor and cosmetic changes to the MTB Regulations.
Clarification of the period a letter of indemnity covers in an MTB event.
Mandatory to now have a map of the MTB course displayed at sign on.
Update on the duration of cross country MTB races.
Update of the various National Cyclo Cross Championship events.
