MEDAL RIDE OFF for Turvey at Euro Track Champs

Anna Turvey to Compete for Bronze at the European Track Championships tonight

Ireland’s Anna Turvey will compete in the Bronze Medal ride off later tonight in the Women’s Individual Pursuit at the 2016 UEC European Track Championships in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines Velodrome in Paris after qualifying as the 3^rd fastest rider in the 3km race against the clock with a time of 3.36.017. After leading for much of the qualification round, Polish rider Justyna Kaczkowska was the first rider to pass her, with a time of 3.31.736. In the last round GB Katie Archibald bettered both pursuiters clocking the fastest time of the day, 3.28.345. In the race for bronze, which is scheduled for approximately 6.40pm today, Turvey will take on Ina Savenka from Belarus, who finished in a time of 3.37.658. The winner of the bronze medal will be the first rider to cross the line.
