The annual OldVelos North Canals Tour is scheduled for Saturday 25th of May. This is the first event on the OldVelos calendar is a good opportunity to ‘fettle’ your vintage bike in preparation for the summer.
The event starts and finishes in the grounds of Castletown House (by kind permission of the OPW).
There will be an exhibition of vintage bikes on display prior to the event. On show will the recently restored ‘Rudge Aero‘ commissioned by local bike shop Bikeworx. They will also have some contemporary gravel bikes on show, these bikes are ideal for those who want to use the canal towpaths and avoid the congested roads in the area. Refreshments will be provided for those who take part at the end of event.
Entries for this event are now open, but due to the nature of the route the entries have been capped at 50 riders. Enter early to avoid disappointment!
