We are delighted to announce that this year cycling will feature as part of the RTE Series Operation Transformation, a TV series that promotes good health and exercise and gathered considerable following over the past 7 years.

While walking and running is an established aspect of the show, which features 5 leaders around the country who are aiming to lose weight and become healthier, this year they will be introducing cycling.

Five of our Cycling Ireland clubs will be working with the Operation Transformation production team, RTE and Cycling Ireland to run a 10km cycle which will take place on Saturday 7th February in the locations of the leaders. These will be free events, but pre-registration will be required, and it is anticipated that the slots will fill up fast, so keep tuned for more details.

The events will be televised and promoted in the week leading up to the cycle, with cycling tips on the website, and the nation will be encouraged to get on their bikes.

The clubs who are kindly hosting these events are:

Ardee Cycling Club (Louth)
Gorey Cycling Club (Wexford)
Lucan Cycling Road Club (Dublin)
Shannonside Cycling Club (Westmeath)
West Cork Cycling Club (Cork)
