Ireland has seven bikes competing in the Paralympic Games in Rio. Six bikes initially qualified, and following the suspension of the Russian athletes a male tandem for the Road Race and Time Trial was added. Paracycling has been in the Paralympic Games since 1984, with the number of events and the inclusion of various disabilities ongoing.
