Paul Watson appointed Commissaire President for Paralympic Games


The Cycling Ireland College of Commissaires are excited and proud to learn of the appointment of Cycling Ireland and UCI International Commissaire Paul Watson as the Commissaire Jury President for the Para cycling events at the upcoming Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. 


A well-known UCI International Commissaire, Paul’s latest appointment follows a number of successful high profile international appointments, up to and including UCI World Championship level, successful World Record attempts and as a key member of previous Commissaire panels at Olympic Games.  Paul is also the Sport and Operations Director for Cycling Ireland and follows in his father Jack’s footsteps who was also UCI International Commissaire and has remained an active cycling administrator and National Commissaire.


The College wish Paul every success for a fair, safe and competitive games.  The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games commence Sunday, 28th August, with Para-cycling track events taking place 29th of  August to 1st September and road events taking place 4th to 7th September.
