Ras Mhaigh Eo 2019 - First A1-A3 Stage Race of the Season

Westport Covey Wheelers will again host the first stage race of the season and for the 1st time entries are opened up to A1 riders, along with the usual A2/A3 & Junior categories.

It promises to be a cracking early season 2-Day, 3-Stage race and will provide great preparation for the big Easter stage races a month later.

Ras Mhaigh Eo 2019 will be held over the weekend of Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th of March and promises to be a challenging test, with big numbers expected.

The routes will take the riders on some of Mayo’s most scenic and testing roads - the first stage route is the same as used in previous additions with a slightly more challenging closing stage added for this year.

We’ve retained the new ‘fair’ hilly Time Trial route from last year, so a TT bike is certainly not essential - check out all race maps, with profiles here

There is a wide range of prizes to cover all categories and classifications, so plenty to play for. A full list of prizes can be found here

A Team Classification Cup will also be awarded to the team with the 3 best placed riders on final GC, so every man crossing the line could be important.
