Cycling Ireland is experiencing a healthy surge in the number of people participating in cycling events. In order to ensure that all of our events are in line with the highest safety standards we will be running an Event Safety Programme whereby both leisure and competitive events will be assessed by qualified Event Safety Assessors.

At this stage we are recruiting for volunteers to take part in this pilot scheme. In 2016 we will be assessing two competitive and two leisure events, one in each province. At this stage we are recruiting for volunteers to take part in a pilot roll out of the Event Safety Programme. Training will be provided for Event Safety Assessors, who will be required to review the safety plan for an event four weeks prior to the event taking place. They will then attend the event ensuring all planned safety procedures were adhered to.

If you are interested in being an Event Safety Assessor, please complete THIS QUESTIONNAIRE by Wednesday 13th July and we will be in touch in due course.

Training will take place for the successful candidates on the week commencing the 18th July, and further training will take place during the winter season.
