Red Bull Foxhunt returns to Rostrevor, Co. Down this weekend. Selling out in under two hours, the 5th edition of Red Bull Foxhunt will take place on 9 October on the hills of the Mourne Mountains in Co Down when over 400 riders will hit the specially designed course in a bid to outrun two-time downhill World Champion, Gee Atherton.
From decorated pros to weekend warriors, the pack will tear through 3.5km of an unforgiving downhill course, reaching speeds in excess of 51km/h through mud-spattered forests and hair-raising sprints. Each adrenaline pumped biker tirelessly battling to cross the finish line before the advancing fox.
Aiming to retain his title, former Downhill National Champion, Colin Ross holds two consecutive Foxhunt titles to his name. Red Bull Athlete, Gee Atherton, won’t be outrun easily and is determined to end Colin’s winning streak. Speaking to RedBull.com recently he said: “Twice running I have been beaten by Colin Ross – he’d better watch out this year, I’m coming for him!”
