Road National Series Round 5 Preview

Lakeside Wheelers CC will host the fifth round of the 2024 Road National Series on Sunday, 7th of July. This is the second last leg of the series so riders will be keen to get valuable points on the board.

Riders will take on a 34km circuit around north Westmeath with plenty of exciting spots for spectators to watch the action. This year organisers have also included an Under 16 Race for boys and girls to the schedule.

Looking forward to the weekend, race organiser Shay O’Toole said:

“We’re looking forward to the Mullingar GP on Sunday. This year we’ve added in an Under 16 race for boys and girls to the schedule. As well as this we have all the usual races for Juniors, A3, A4 and Elite.

“The course starts in Multyfarnham and will cover a 34km circuit around North Westmeath.

“As always, it takes a big effort to run these races. I’d like to thank all the volunteers who help make it possible.

“Entry is online only and closing at 3pm Saturday."
