Cycling Ireland is thrilled to announce the selection of its junior team for the 2024 Junior Tour of Ireland.

This talented group of riders are set to compete in one of the most prestigious junior cycling events, which will take place from July 9th- 14th July.

Michael Black, National Development Pathway Lead, expressed his enthusiasm about the team’s prospects:

2024 Ghent International Track Meet


In addition to the team competing at the Junior Tour of Ireland, Cycling Ireland is excited to announce the selection of an extensive team of junior riders for the upcoming Ghent International Track Meet in Belgium. 


This prestigious event will see our young talented riders compete on an international stage, providing invaluable experience and development opportunities specific to Indoor track racing.


The Ghent International Track Meet will take place from 28th to 30th June, featuring a range of events that will challenge and inspire our junior riders.

The team includes a diverse group of riders who have shown promise and dedication towards the track discipline in both their training and racing. 


Their participation in the Ghent International Track Meet aligns with Cycling Ireland’s commitment to nurturing junior talent and offering race opportunities that enhance their abilities at an international level.


Michael Black, National Development Pathway Lead, shared his excitement about the event: 

"We are delighted to send a strong contingent of junior riders to the Ghent International Track Meet. This competition is a crucial part of our strategy to develop our young athletes by exposing them to high-level international racing. 

“We believe this experience will be instrumental in their growth and success in the sport and aligns strongly with our high performance development pathway. This race forms part of an overall track programme leading into the European track championships in Germany at the beginning of July and the World Junior Track Championships in China on the 25th of August."
