It was an important weekend for the Men's and Women's Madison pairings as they battle for Olympic qualification.

Lydia Boylan and Lydia Gurley finished 8th in the Women's Madison at the UCI World Cup in Hong Kong. A solid result which will see Ireland remain inside the Olympic Qualification quota for the women's event.

Men's Madison pairing, Mark Downey and Felix English posted an impressive 7th place finish which sees them narrow the gap to the nations inside the qualification quota for the men's event.

In the Women's Omnium, Emily Kay showed incredible consistency to finish an excellent 8th while Felix English raced in the Scratch just hours after finishing the Madison, coming home in 11th place.

The team are currently on route to New Zealand for round 4 of the UCI Track World Cup Series
