The UCI 2017 Junior Track Cycling World Championships take place in Montichiari, Italy, from 23rd August - 27th August. 



Cycling Ireland will be sending a small and talented Irish Team to the Championships, featuring European Silver Medallist in the Individual Pursuit, Xeno Young, and European Bronze Medallist in the Elimination Race, JB Murphy. 



Racing starts for the Irish Team on Thursday, with JB Murphy in the 10km Scratch Race. On Friday Murphy will contest the 25km Points Race, with Xeno Young testing his speed in the 3km Individual Pursuit. 


The Omnium on Saturday will see Young competing throughout the day in the four race event, an event in which he also excelled at the European Track Championships - finishing fourth.
