The 2024 Cycling Ireland Youth National Road Championships take place this Saturday and Sunday, 17th and 18th of August in Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford.


The National Championships follow on from a very successful Youth National Series, which saw riders from across Ireland take on three rounds in Meath, Cork and Antrim. 


Championship categories are in one year age bands:

U11 – 2013 (2014 riders who have reached their 10th birthday)

U12 – 2012

U13 – 2011

U14 – 2010

U15 – 2009

U16 – 2008

Saturday will see riders take on the Time Trial first, starting at 9am. The distances will vary depending on age category:

U12 – 2.3km  (4km route) here.  

U14 – 10km route here. 

U16 – 10km route here. 

 

Following the completion of the Time Trial, the Road Race will begin at 2pm. The route is available here. 

U12 – 8km

U14 – 20km

U16 – 62km (Girls 40km)

 

The Criterium will take place at 9am on the Sunday. The route is available here.
