Events

2024 will see the establishment of the Youth National Series. This series is aimed at giving U16 riders the opportunity to race National level events, before progressing to the Junior ranks.

 

The series will be on offer for U16 boys and girls. For younger age groups, races will be still be included in the normal race schedule, but will not form part of the series.

 

Three events have been included in the 2024 series.

Points Structure

There will be three sprints in each of the three races for U16 Boys and two sprints in each the three races for the U16 Girls with the opportunity to gain points. The riders with the most points at the end of the three rounds will be awarded prizes by Cycling Ireland.


The Youth National Series leaderboard will comprise of the top 20 U16 boys and U16 girls and the overall winners at the end of the three rounds will receive prizes from Cycling Ireland.
