BALLINCOLLIG: Bicycle Friendly Coffee Shop
We are delighted to announce that we have become a Bicycle Friendly Coffee Shop.
We are not changing anything in the shop, but we hope to make it a place that is friendly to our two wheeled friends by providing them with a selection of tools and spare parts should they run into difficulties on their trips in our area.
From the start of December, on the premises, we will have a good quality track pump, so that a cyclist can be sure of having the correct pressure in the tyres, especially after a puncture or other problem. We will have a Pedal spanner, Allen Keys, a Spoke key, an Adjustable wrench, Tyre Levers, Lubricant, WD 40, Some Spare Tubes, a few Spare Tyres as well as some Energy Gels, Energy Drinks Sachets, and energy Bars. These are only important to cyclists when they have run out of them ! And of course we will have a tub of Swarfega in case any nasty oil or grease should get on to the Lycra !
Stephen Roche has congratulated us on our initiative and has honoured us with our appointment as an Official Coffee Stop for Stephen Roche Cycling Holidays, which until now, has only been available in Majorca, the Location of Stephen’s Cycling Holidays and Training Camps.

We would like to point out that we are not becoming a bit of a bike shop, our spare tubes and tyres etc. are all bought from our local bike shop, Noel Holmes, at West End Cycles and none of our staff will be in a position to repair or sevice bicycles. The equipment in-store will only be for use by the cyclist. We are open seven days a week and from 10.30 am on Sundays, when all the bike shops are closed.
